  1. Interactive charts and apps

    We’ve made it easier to create interactive charts and research apps in Village. Describe what you want to build and the data you want to use, and Village creates it in your workspace. Open the result, explore your data, and ask for changes in the same conversation.

    Use a chart to compare forecasts, a table to examine companies side by side, or a small app built around your research. Tell Village what you want to understand and which data to use.

    For example, you could ask:

    Turn these revenue forecasts into an interactive chart with a control for the growth assumption.

    Adjust the growth assumption to explore the forecast, then ask Village to add a comparison scenario or show the numbers in a table. The preview updates as Village edits, so you can keep refining the result as new questions come up.

    To get started, open a conversation in Village and describe the chart, table, or app you want to create.

  2. Connect your data services

    Village agents can now use API keys to work with data services your team already has access to, including paid providers and services you operate. Bring those sources into your research so Village can answer questions using the data your team relies on.

    Saved connections can support both new research tasks and recurring monitors. Your agent can return to the same source for a follow-up question or a scheduled report without asking you to provide the key each time.

    You control which keys are saved in your workspace, and keys submitted through the request form stay out of the chat transcript. Village’s access follows the permissions and subscription associated with each key.

  3. Website technology data

    Village now brings research across more than 25 million websites and subdomains into your workspace. Ask which sites use a software provider, explore a technology category, or investigate the web presence of vendors you’re researching.

    From analytics tools and content management systems to hosting providers, Village helps you understand the technologies businesses use on the web. You can explore the results in conversation and ask follow-up questions as your research develops.

    From a question to a closer look

    Start with a provider or category you want to understand. For example:

    Can you show me how often websites using PostHog also use Amplitude or Mixpanel? I’m interested in whether PostHog is replacing these tools or being used alongside them, and what the evidence tells us.

    Village helps you examine the results and refine your question, giving you a starting point for investigating software adoption. Matches reflect observed web usage rather than verified customer relationships; one company may operate several sites or subdomains.

    To get started, ask Village about the technology or provider you want to research.

  4. Village in Claude and ChatGPT

    You can now ask Village to conduct research from Claude or ChatGPT. A Village agent works in your workspace with its files, data sources, and monitors, while you follow the work from the conversation where your question began.

    Start a new research task or pick up an existing Village conversation, check progress, and answer the agent’s follow-up questions without switching apps. When the work is ready, retrieve the results in the conversation or open them in Village.

    The connection uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and requires a Village workspace and access to custom connections in Claude or ChatGPT. See the setup guide to connect your account.

  5. Satellite imagery

    We’re introducing a satellite imagery skill in Village to help you investigate how sites change over time. Your agent can now find and compare public satellite images, bringing visual evidence into the same workspace as your documents, data, and research.

    When you’re following a project, announcements and reported milestones tell only part of the story. Comparing images from different dates can help you assess visible progress, check it against other sources, and identify questions that deserve further investigation.

    Village can organize the imagery into a timeline you can explore and revisit as your research develops. That gives you another way to examine a project’s history and discuss the evidence with your team. Coverage, weather, and image resolution affect what is visible, so imagery remains one part of the wider research picture.

  6. Research by email

    You can now ask Village to conduct research directly from your inbox. Email a question to your workspace agent, and Village replies in the same thread, so you can review the response alongside the rest of your email.

    Reply to ask for more detail, narrow the question, or continue the research. Your follow-up messages stay connected to the same Village conversation, so you can build on the work without starting over.

    The conversation is also available in your Village workspace. Move between email and Village as your research develops, with the work kept in one conversation.

  7. Scheduled research reports

    Following a company, project, or market means returning to the same questions as new information emerges. Village can now research a subject on a schedule and write a report on the developments relevant to your question, with links to the sources behind its findings.

    Each report brings together evidence from sources such as filings, agency updates, and reporting, helping you assess what changed and what deserves further investigation. When preparing the next report, Village builds on earlier findings and follows up on open questions.

    You choose the subject and how often you need an update. Reports are saved in your workspace, where you can read the latest briefing, check its evidence, or compare it with earlier reports.

  8. Daily alert digests

    Keeping a research view current means knowing when new evidence deserves your attention. Village’s daily email digests bring together the developments your monitors flagged, with charts and links to the underlying research, to help you assess what has changed and where to focus next.

    Use the digest to consider whether a development supports your current view, challenges an assumption, or calls for further investigation. When you need more context, follow the evidence back into Village and continue the research. Past digests remain available in your workspace.
