Explore web technology usage across 25 million hosts

Investigate analytics, hosting, and other technologies across more than 25 million hosts, with observed signals you can inspect behind each match.

We’ve expanded Village’s web technology dataset to 25.7 million hosts, including subdomains, with the September 3–4, 2026 capture. You can query it through a Village agent or the Village Python SDK to investigate which technologies appear across the web.

The dataset contains observations from page content, scripts, network requests, cookies, DNS, and other crawl signals. These are the clues used to identify analytics tools, content management systems, hosting providers, and other parts of a site’s stack.

Inspect the signals behind each result

Village lets you define and revise the matching criteria for a technology. A result can be traced back to the observed signals, so you can examine why a host matched and adjust the query when a rule is too broad.

For an analytics tool, you could ask Village to find matching hosts, show the signals behind each match, and check whether an embedded third-party service could explain them.

A host count measures observed web addresses. Several hosts may belong to one company, and an embedded widget can introduce another company’s tools. Use the evidence behind each match when interpreting the results.

To start, tell Village which technology or provider you want to investigate. For custom queries and repeatable analysis, the same dataset is available through the Village Python SDK.
