Agents can now request and save API keys

Enter third-party API keys through a masked form, then manage saved keys in workspace settings for use by agents and monitors.

Village agents can now request the API keys they need and save them for use in your workspace. This lets an agent work with an API your team already has access to, including a paid data service or a service you operate.

When a task needs a key, Village opens a form showing the key’s name, why it is needed, and instructions for getting it. Enter the value in the masked field to continue, or skip the request. The form saves the value directly to the workspace secret store and keeps it out of the chat transcript.

You can also add keys in Settings → Workspace → API Keys. The page shows each key’s name, note, and last update. Use it to replace a key, change its note, or delete it. Saved values are not displayed.

New agent work and monitor runs can use the saved credentials in that workspace. Start by telling Village which service you want to use and what you want to research.
